Creative Direction / Motion Design / Animation

Just ended an amazing week of design, education, awards, events, parties, and friends.
Not only did we create all the motion design and title slides for the AIGA PIVOT Conference, but we also walked away with 3 Emmys for our Massage Envy Valentines Day spot. Thanks to everyone for your love and support and especially to all of the amazing and talented designers, animators, & sound designers that have been involved in these wonderful projects!

In our first year entering - Flock of Pixels has earned 7 nominations for Massage Envy, Phoenix Coyotes, and Taser X2 in the following categories: Animation, Editing, Commercial, and Director of Post Production. Thanks to everyone involved in these productions!

Say HI to our brand new 2011 REEL. Or head on over to VIMEO to watch it if you prefer!

We will be transitioning all video content to Vimeo within the next several months. Soon everything will be playable on your mobile devices! In the meantime you can check out the new Phoenix Coyotes Spot on vimeo now! The super slow mo effects were created using only still images.

Check out our latest animated effort - this time in glorious stop-motion for Massage Envy’s Valentines Day Spot. Fun fact: Justin did all the previs out of a Super 8 in CO while his dog had surgery.

Just finished a huge project with Park & Co. for the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. Flock of Pixels handled all of the motion design and animation. It came out great and I can’t wait to share it with you all.

Thanks to Twitter, AIGA, and Armin Vit - I got the opportunity to have my work in front of the top designers in the world. The problem? I only had one day to work! That didn’t seem to matter as the overall consensus was a big 2 thumbs up. They played in between speakers and during the breaks. You can currently watch them on vimeo - Brand New Conference
Wow! PHXDW was amazing this year and everyone seemed to agree on one thing - the opening titles rocked! Taken from concept to completion in 5 days the titles feature artwork from this years poster contest winners all brought to life by Justin Katz at Flock of Pixels. AIGA’s director of chapter development - Mike Joosse said, “Those were the best opening conference titles I have ever seen.” Thanks Mike!

Flock of Pixels is proud to be a Premier Sponsor of Phoenix Design Week 2010. This is our second year as a sponsor, but our first year doing the opening title sequence. for more details visit PHXDW.COM
